Angelica mentioned this book a couple of weeks ago and I sent off for a copy. It arrived in today's mail and I did a quick scan of it after supper. Lots of everyday photos and the kind of photo that if you took them today ... you would say, "so what?" ... but forty, or fifty, or so, years later they record a time long past and often things that are just a distant memory for some of us and for other's ... a revelation to how things were! The 1959 Pontiac was sure to catch my eye, but even more so ... why would a dealer think a years supply of Kleenex would induce a buyer to come in and make the purchase? My first thought was that the car was so bad ... I'd be crying over it everyday! :-) Diane Keaton and Marvin Heiferman did a great job with the book and it is definitely one for your coffee table.
