Ansel Adams's Exhibit

The Ansel Adams's Exhibit has been running for several months now at the Eiteljorg Museum www.eiteljorg.org/ and while I've been intending to go for nearly as long as it has been open ... this was the last weekend and it forced me to get moving on it even though my summer cold had me wanting to stay home and in bed. This is Ansel Adams's photo of Georgia Totto O'Keeffe. He knew her well! There were many images available to buy at the Ansel Adams store, but this one really spoke to me. Unfortunately, shooting through the plastic wrap left some strange shadows, but I hope to get a better photo made before I frame this print. Ansel Adams was really a master of using low light and I would love to share some of the photos I saw today, but his
exhibit did not allow photography. I thought that was pretty humorous considering we were all there looking at photographs. To be fair they didn't allow photographs in the George Morrison Exhibit either ... which didn't bother me too much since I'm not a huge fan of modern art, but there were some collages made out of found wood which I found interesting.
