... famed photographer Alfred Chaney Johnson, or so the ad said. It finally arrived with the documentation. And while the documentation showed Alfred Chaney Johnson once owned a Yashica Mat camera, it also showed it was a 1957 Yashica Mat and not the 1969 Yashica Mat 124 which arrived in the mail. Alfred Chaney Johnson passed away in 1971 and it's possible he could have owned the camera, but unfortunately there is no documentation to support it. The good news is ... I got it bought right even without the Alfred Chaney Johnson association. I will admit the thought of owning a camera once owned by the famous pin up girl photographer of Ziegfeld Follies was a very attractive thought ... even for a little while. Now ... I guess I need to find my own pin up girls! :-)
