A great number of us at Ipernity were refugees from Flickr on its takeover as CEO by Marissa Mayer, who turned it into a nightmare of a site. At the time I felt she was a squib whose trajectory was a subject to the same rules of gravity as any other squib, and so it has transpired, with her departure from Yahoo, on its takeover by Verizon.
Subsequently Verizon has sold Flickr to Smugmug.
