Oh yes, Bev. I had a very good "PC-Doctor". He could help me. Reason for this was probably a failed Windows update. Bst wishes too. Greetings, Frank

the new windows ten has had a big update which in actual fact was an upgrade,
rather misleading wording on their part I thought ... but once "updated/upgraded"

Oh, I don't know if you have understood me correctly. I have no "upgrade" made on Win 10. On my machine is still running Win 8.1. It was a security update for Win 8.1. Probably the driver for the sound card. I should prefer to be downloaded from the company website. Matter. It's running again. You also have a nice Christmas. Regards, Frank

oh I see ... ok ... well I am pleased it is running again ok ... and yes
to download from the company website is best ... they will do this free
for windows 10 ;-) with the facility to go back to windows eight if you
want ... best of luck ;-) and hope you have a nice Christmas too, Bev
