Not a bad idea. Competition is often seen as good thing ;-)

I did not quite understood the idea though. But I have few suggestions:

Limit the contributions to "n in total" (e.g. 5 in total). Then advice people to remove older contributions, if their quota is full. That also kind of help to get new suggestions and contributions in.

Although, I guess that you alone can suggest and accept contributions. That's what is not obvious.

Then again, please translate the description (about) at least to French and German.

Joined and tested, and looks like I was able to add contributions. Shouldn't it be an invitation only? So, you suggest images, and only then people can the suggested pictures added.

If you need help with settings, you can call me in to help as an admin. I promise to leave when done.

tout d'abord merci pour la visite parmi mes photos ! Je me suis inscrit ici pour découvrir de belles photos et de bons photographes que je ne connais pas forcément ! J'ai moi-même créé un groupe qui ressemble à celui-ci ( www.ipernity.com/group/2321502 ) et qui ,bien sur, est complètement subjectif puisque "c'est moi qui choisis" ! Les Ipernitiens qui connaissent le groupe proposent des photos ( à eux ou à d'autres membres ) et je les accepte ... ou pas ... dans le groupe ! Et je suis assez content du résultat ! Alors bonne chance pour ce groupe ci et amitiés !

Thanks for the comment and the link to your group, which I just visited. It is a great collection, but a quite different genre of photos, as I have almost no flowers and animals in my group. And this is good so, that different collections exist. Have a good day, best regards!

Die Gruppe gefällt mir sehr. Danke, Berny, daß Du mir/uns die Arbeit abnimmst, Dich durch alte/neue Bildersammlungen und Alben zu wühlen, um uns eine subjektive Auswahl gehobener Schätze - ganz nach Deinem Geschmack - anzubieten. Viele Beiträge, denen ich beim Sichten ein Sternchen verpassen wollte, hatten zu meiner Verblüffung schon eins, das ich offenbar schon vor längerem verteilt hatte. Die Geschmäcker sind offenbar nicht allzu verschieden.
Der größte Gewinn dieses "Berny-best of-specials" ist für mich die Vielfalt der Neuentdeckungen: Beiträge mir bislang unbekannter Mitglieder bzw. Genres, die ich selbst gar nicht so auf dem Schirm hatte. Absolute Bereicherung und viele Aha-Erlebnisse !
Freu mich auf kommende Entdeckungen.
