As you can see (on the right) my birthday is approaching. Since people are used to give me presents and/or money on that day (I don't know why :P), I'll ask all of them to throw their money into one pot. Me'll throw some xtra coins into and afterwards I will try to swap that pot with a zoomlens somewhere. ;)
Could you help me a bit with finding the right one?
To make the shape a bit clearer the following information:
- me have Nikon D70s
- me want zoomlens >= 200mm
- me still n00b and no rich guy, so no need for Million-Dollar thingy ( <= EUR 300)
- me already have Nikon AF18-70/1:3,5-4,5G ED (so 17-80mm is clear ;))

At a local local photo equipment store (Foto Gery -> www.foto-gery.nl) They had 2 Nikkors (200 and 300mm) which had the nice and fancy VR, seemed to be build stable, but for about EUR 330 and 530. Further they had the Tamron for EUR 179. My decision is based on the facts that I'm still a beginner, that the lens extends my kit-lens perfectly (kit: 18-70mm, tamrom 70-300mm) and that it also has a MACRO area (180-300mm). A macro lens was one of the things I would have liked to extend my camera with next. So why not the 2 in 1 solution.
Up to now I'm really happy with my decision. (Take a look at my last shots and you'll get what I mean :))
