Why I became very, very thoughtful for IP...
As I have decided for the below mentioned reasons to join Ipernity, was a welcome offer of 1000 images at a monthly amount of data of 200 MB. Still stands today in the club rules at the welcome offer: Only the last 200 added elements "are accessible (this limitation will be applied soon)"
My request for IP has now revealed that this limit will soon take effect. I wanted to check out the facts about IP over a period of time and learn from this, because my 'experience' of Panoramio were very difficult in the last few months. I was hoping here to find a better home with my photo hobby. This also applies to many things.
On the other hand I feel easily deceived, with 1000 images offer lured, animated to upload and now must I know that probably any time only the last 200 images will be visible, if I'm not ready to pay the compulsory fee for Club membership.
I have to pay in the future even for that my images remain visible even if I don't upload anything at some point. I must therefore also 'price increases' accepted, otherwise the images over 200 are gone...
I thought I had prior rights to the promised.
I feel this kind of catching and payment policy as not particularly fair. I must now consider whether I really want this.
IP has only communicated with: "The choice is yours..."
I will therefor be 'very careful' by further uploading of my images... What a pity....



Warum ich bei IP sehr, sehr nachdenklich geworden bin...
Als ich mich aus den unten genannten Gründen entschlossen habe, bei Ipernity mitzumachen, galt ein Begrüßungsangebot von 1000 Bildern bei einer monatlichen Datenmenge von 200 MB. Heute noch steht in den Clubregeln beim Begrüßungsangebot: "Nur die letzten 200 hinzugefügten Elemente sind zugänglich (diese Begrenzung wird bald angewendet)"
Meine Anfrage bei IP hat nun ergeben, dass diese Begrenzung nun bald wirksam werden wird. Ich wollte mir die Gegebenheiten bei IP über einen längeren Zeitraum ansehen und daraus lernen, denn meine 'Erfahrungen' bei Panoramio waren in den letzten Monaten sehr problematisch. Ich hatte gehofft, hier ein besseres zu Hause mit meinem Foto-Hobby zu finden. Das trifft auch in vielen Dingen zu.
Andererseits fühle ich mich leicht getäuscht, mit dem 1000 Bilder-Angebot gelockt, zum Hochladen animiert und nun muss ich feststellen, dass wohl in absehbarer Zeit nur noch die letzten 200 Bilder sichtbar sein werden, sofern ich nicht bereit bin, die Zwangsgebühr für die Club-Mitgliedschaft zu zahlen.
Ich muss also künftig selbst dafür bezahlen, dass meine Bilder sichtbar bleiben, selbst wenn ich irgendwann nichts mehr hoch lade. Ich muss somit auch 'Preiserhöhungen' akzeptieren, sonst sind die Bilder über 200 weg...
Ich dachte, ich hätte Bestands-Schutz auf das Versprochene.
Diese Art des Einfangens und der Bezahlpolitik empfinde ich als nicht besonders fair. Ich muss nun darüber nachdenken, ob ich das so wirklich will.
IP hat mir dazu lediglich mitgeteilt: "The choice is yours..."
Ich werde daher 'sehr vorsichtiug sein' beim weiteren Hochladen meiner Bilder.
