Robins

Oh how wonderful, Steve. You were so lucky. Were they the ones you seem to take many pictures of - if so, that's probably why - they've seen you several times and so know they're safe with you. It must have been an incredible experience - good on you.

I see a number of different robins Jenny but these two seem friendly. I tried a third and it got very close but backed off so I dropped some food on the ground for it.

Our resident robin comes close enough to touch but I've never had the opportunity to hand feed it. Did you get 2 robins at once, Steve?

Not at once.. they are quite territorial. I got one then walked a way and got the other. Another came close but didn't feed so I left some food on the ground for it.

I didn't think you'd have 2 feeding at once. There would have been quite a squabble.

That's marvellous, must have given you some satisfaction, I may have a breeding pair which come to the garden together but only one feeds at a time while the other one stays back.
