"MPs are to get a £7,600 pay rise in 2015" This equates to an 11% pay rise whilst many people are actually having a pay cut or even losing their jobs due to the austerity measures. Hundreds of old people will die this winter due to the cold and simply not being able to afford to heat their homes. In Wales, my area has the highest number of deaths recorded due to the cold weather. Cammoron has the gall to spew the platitude 'We're all in this together'? Don't make me laugh!

I was horrified when I heard this Fran. Mandi hadn't had a pay rise for 10 years. I just don't understand where they get the figures for average wages as being £26,000, because they only pay us pensioners £6,860 and say that that a living figure. Still I shouldn't complain - they did award us with a pay-rise of £2.20 per week - whoopie doo. That makes my annual income rising to £6,794. and that's still almost a quarter of what they say is an average income. Where do they get these figures from eh?

Thanks guys. I don't earn the so called 'average wage' either, not even close. In fact their rise is more than I used to earn 2 years ago.
It beggars belief that they're being awarded this pay rise when the rest of us are facing cuts in our standard of living every year.
