Having to wait 3-and-a-half weeks before I can get a routine appointment with my GP. I couldn’t help it, my response to the receptionist was ‘you’re kidding’. They won’t give me any more eye drops until I see my GP. They obviously worry that I’m going to OD on eye drops.
People who say, ‘off of’ or ‘yeah, no’ or ‘no, yeah’ Which is it?
Family who’ll sit for hours with an unconscious father but keep cancelling visits to their Mother who is still alive and still conscious, even if she is bat sh*t crazy some days. Driving between 100 and 200 miles a week visiting said Mother because others who live closer can’t be bothered. For a short while, she had a lot of visitors, but this has dropped off again.
Having to pay £199 on top of the service and MOT bill due to part of the suspension needing replacing. Ouch!
Rental Agents who don’t return your calls. The Deckhand is going to view a property on Wednesday, however, he’ll be the 5th one. If they’d returned my calls, he could have gone on Sunday possibly, and got the jump on them. This is proving so much harder than I thought it would be. We’re supposed to be out in less than 7 weeks, and we have nowhere to go yet. He’ll be okay, he can stay on campus until early June. Me? Feeling very stressed…
I’m not in a good mood, in case you hadn’t guessed.
I’ve had some lousy night’s sleep, followed by some great nights recently. I had my winter fuel bills, and alarmingly, I’m about £50 in the red. They’d miscalculated my usage, reduced my monthly payments, and now I owe them. To this end, I’ve been leaving the heating off unless it’s very cold, such as snowing, and weirdly, I’ve been sleeping better. For me, a good night is 6 hours or more, though it’s rarely uninterrupted due to pins and needles that I still ‘suffer’ from. The one night, I was falling asleep on the sofa at 7.30pm, so went to bed at 8pm. I know, I’m old and decrepit lol. I read in bed for half hour, woke at stupid o’clock and read for another hour, then woke at 6am. Good grief! I must have been exhausted. I’ve had 3 nights in a row where I’ve slept very well, despite it being only about 15C in the bedroom. I’m a hardy soul, obviously, lol.
Today, Tuesday, it’s a beautiful day. I’ve done a little gardening but soon gave up; the soil is so heavy from all the recent rain. The washing line is full, and the dog is sunning himself. Rain and colder temperatures are on the way, with the possibility of snow, part 2, on Sunday. Oh, I hope not.
Enjoy the rest of your week.

I also get the odd day with plenty of care and proper treatment.
Mick - we would be snowed under by the gripes I'm sure.
The house was not a good fit for us I'm afraid. The locale was great; near enough to the shops to be useful and within walking distance of the campus, in a quiet cul-de-sac with a secure garden for the dog.
It was however, too small. I live in a 2-bed end of terrace which is small. If I tried to swing a mouse in my kitchen, I would brain it. The 3-bed semi my son looked at was about 20% smaller than our current home and the kitchen even smaller. I'd have to leave the dining table, and armchair, and bookcases, and sideboard, and tumble dryer... The list is too great. Whilst our landlord would love that, and would pay for them, what do I do with the items that were in the units? I love my books, and there is nowhere for them in the other house.
There is also no electric shower, just one of those that runs off the bath taps. I've used one before and they're a total pain and almost impossible to get the right temperature for a shower. I'm willing to compromise up to a point, but these would be too many and we'd feel cramped I'm sure.
Therein lies one of the issues with many houses in the UK. They are built and sold on the basis of how many bedrooms they have rather than square footage. Doesn't matter how poky the rooms are, just squeeze in as many 'bedrooms' as possible to up the price. Still looking...
As for your gripes - wow girl you'd have to be an angel not to find something in all that's been going on for moaning about. If I was nearer, I'd come over and give you a big hug so you realise that you're not alone and someone cares.
