No, it’s not a euphemism, or a profanity, it’s a description of what this pirate has been doing this past 2 days. The rain has finally stopped, a breeze has picked up, and the sun has finally shown itself. Friday was cloudy with sunny spells and a good breeze so the bedding was hoisted onto the rigging. Dried like a charm! Saturday was a fine day, and it was a day for dark clothes, followed by a towel load. Sunday has dawned bright and breezy again so more towels are in the machine to be hoisted like flags over the ship. How gaily the ship will look. On Saturday I even managed about 10 minutes sitting on the garden wall, soaking up the sun, before the DIY enthusiasts and barking dogs drove me back inside to the relative calm and peace of the ship. Later, I might get outside and pull a few weeds from the potted plants. Speaking of; I have a shrub that is screaming in tiny pink flower buds. A similar shrub, which is larger, has two flower buds. Two! Hardly worth bothering. I’ll have to tease it out of its pot one day soon and see if it needs repotting.
Because the valuer was coming on Friday, the ship is spick and span. As mentioned above, the laundry pile is shrinking and the ironing is mostly done. We have ‘takeaway’ today for a change (supermarket Chinese food) so not much cooking, and I confess I’m not entirely sure what to do with myself today (Sunday). I feel too tired to start a project such as art, finished reading a book at 4.30am, baked scones on Saturday. What to do… Maybe a quiet day soaking up some sunshine interspersed with some TV watching. Possibly a nap later? What a life :) One week to go…
I’m now waiting for the Deckhand to rise from his slumber so we can have cooked breakfast. Not a full English as neither of like sausages anymore; we find them greasy lately, and not very flavourful. Maybe one day I’ll pop out to the market town some distance away and go to a real butcher and get some. The supermarket fare is very poor, as is our local butcher. Anyway, we have some nice bacon, lovely golden yolk eggs, brown mushrooms, and some gorgeous little tomatoes that I shall gently cook, and some sourdough for toast. I’ll quietly slip a couple of slices of black pudding onto my plate whilst my son isn’t looking lol. A veritable feast!
I just noticed, my laptop is showing the ‘wrong’ time. Yes, for the second time, I’ve been caught out by the clocks changing! I thought it was next week. Usually, I’d see the reminder on the news, however we don’t have terrestrial, or Sky TV anymore, just streaming. Oops! No big deal, but the Deckhand will be grumpy that he’s ‘slept in’. I did remember that it's Mother's day and have sent a card, and will phone my Mum later.
Have a lovely day, hope the sun is shining where you are. We’re forecast sunshine all day. Fantastic!
Avast!

After 5 days of sunshine here today we have thinck fog no wind and the thermometer says 3.2 C
I was up early because I wanted to watch the Australian F1 GP which we get live direc. I was suprised and thought I had done it wrong last night when I advanced my kitchen and bedroom clocks because the TV showed them to be wrong, uhr, yes you've got it the ruddy TV station had forgotten to reset their clocks.
Yes back to a 5 hour time difference. I enjoy the 2 weeks a year it's closer. Don't ask me why as it matters little really.
I always hear about blood pudding and it seems a treat there. What is it really? It just doesn't sound tempting

I managed to amuse myself today - polished some wooden furniture, cut the grass, finished the ironing, tidied some rubbish from the shed, and soaked up some sunshine. A good day. Glad to see I'm not alone in having some sunshine.
