Gentle On My Mind
Fiddle and banjo expert John Hartford (Harford) composed "Gentle On My Mind" (John Hartford) in 1967 and it's on his album "Earthwords and Music". You can hear John pickin' on The Byrds "Sweethearts of the Rodeo" and he would often appear on both "Glen Campbell's Goodtime Hour" and "The Smothers Brothers Comedy Hour". John won several Grammys for "Gentle On My Mind" and his contributions to the soundtrack of "O Brother, Where Art Thou".
Glen Campbell released the album and single "Gentle On My Mind" in 1967 but it didn't achieve true success until it was re-released the next year as the follow-up of "By The Time I Get To Phoenix".
