You may know her as "Cricket Blake" from "Hawaiian Eye" or an actress that dated Elvis! Connie Stevens (Concetta Ingoglia) took her father's stage name of (Teddy) "Stevens" and joined the group "The Fourmost" and shortly after when she left the quartet, they became the Lettermen. Connie hit the top ten on charts in 1959 with "Kookie, Kookie, Lend me Your Comb" and again the next year with "Sixteen Reasons". Connie first recorded "Keep Growing Strong" (Thom Bell - Linda Creed) in 1970.

With the titled change to "Betcha By Golly, Wow" The Stylistics (Russell Thompkins Jr, Herb Murrell, James Smith, Airrion Love and James Dunn) used it on their debut self-titled album in 1971 as produced by composer Thom Bell. The next year the single hit the top ten on both the pop and R&B charts.
