San Francisco's Vince Guaraldi (Dellaglio) is noteworthy for recording the music used in the Peanuts cartoons and "Cast Your Fate to the Wind". It's from the 1962 album "Jazz Impressions of Black Orpheus" which was inspired by the Academy Award winning movie. The tune won a Grammy and in 1963 actually charted.

Shelby Flint had the vocal hit in 1966 and sang in the movie "Snoopy Come Home" as the Charles Shultz connection continues. Her version of "Cast Your Fate to the Wind" (Guaraldi - Werber) made in into the top sixty and comes from the album of the same name.

The most successful rendition of "Cast Your Fate to the Wind" came when Britain's Sounds Orchestral, assembled by John Schroeder and featuring Johnny Pearson, hit the top ten with their version in 1965 again from the album of the same name.
