The 1975 top forty album "Frampton" introduced "Nassau/Baby, I Love Your Way" (Peter Frampton). This was his first solo effort after Peter Frampton left Steve Marriott and Humble Pie. The track is edited.
A concert version was issued on the next year's multiplatinum "Frampton Comes Alive!". Released as a single from the double album "Baby, I Love Your Way" peaked at number twelve on Billboard.
Will To Power (lead singer Bob Rozenberg, Suzi Carr, Maria Mendez and Rachel Newman) covered "Baby, I Love Your Way" in the 1987 medley "Free Bird" with "Freebird". This time it reached the top of the Top One Hundred and number two on the Adult Contemporary chart. This was a track on their 1988 self-titled LP.
The group Big Mountain (lead singer Quino, Tony Chin, Lynn Copeland, Jerome Cruz, Santa Davis, Michael Hyde, James McWhinney, Manfred Reinke and Billy Stoll) achieved success with "Baby, I Love Your Way" with their reggae version in 1994. The single from the LP "Unity" was number six on Billboard, number two in the U.K. and top ten in most world markets.
