Although it wasn't released until 1997 Dusty Springfield recorded "Any Other Fool" (Diane Warren - Robbie Buchanan) in 1989. The song was meant to be a track on her album "Reputation" but a falling-out between her and Diane Warren caused the tune to be put aside. The cut was include years later on "Reputation And Rarities".
Acclaimed photographer and jazz musician Japan's Sadao Watanabe teamed with American Patti Austin for a version of "Any Other Fool". The single peaked at number six on Billboard in 1990 and came from Sadao's LP "Front Seat". Grammy winner Patti Austin has performed duets with Michael Jackson, James Ingram, Roberta Flack and George Benson. Patti has also been a successful session singer for most of her life let alone having a notable solo career.
