You may know this tune as "Beer Barrel Polka", "Roll Out The Barrel" or "The Barrel Polka" (Jaromir Vejvoda). It was written as an instrumental in 1927. This became "Polka Of Modrany" and then "Skoda lasky" (Wasted Love) when lyrics were added by Vaclav Zeman. The polka was recorded by German accordionist, bandleader and composer Will Glahe in 1934 as "Rosamunde".

In 1939 Will Glahe reached worldwide fame with the tune using the title "Beer Barrel Polka" hitting the top of the American charts and selling a million copies.

Bobby Vinton followed the massive seller "My Melody Of Love" with a song called "Dick And Jane". The B side was "Beer Barrel Polka" (Lew Brown - Wladimir Timm - Jaromir Vejvoda), Bobby's last top forty hit when it reached number thirty-three on the Top One Hundred and number five Easy Listening. This was the final track on the 1975 album "Heart Of Hearts".
