George pitched the song personally to Connie Francis during a surprise visit to her New Jersey home where he played the song on her piano. George also co-authored the Gene Pitney hit "Half Heaven, Half Heartache" while Edna Lewis co-wrote Leslie Gore's "Judy's Turn To Cry".
