Composer, singer, poet and playwright Labi (Afolabi) Siffre sings "It Must Be Love" from the 1972 LP "Crying, Laughing, Loving, Lying". The song was originally issued as a single in 1971 and hit the U.K. top twenty. Recording artists who covered his music include Olivia Newton-John, Kenny Rogers and Rod Stewart.
British band Madness (lead vocalist Graham McPherson, Mike Barson, Mike Bedford, Chris Foreman, Lee Thompson and Dan Woodgate) released the single "It Must Be Love" in 1981 and hit number four in the England while peaking at thirty-three on Billboard. The track is on the album "Complete Madness". For a brief time Paul Carrack was a member of Madness but Paul seemed to be a member of all British groups with the few exceptions. Labi Siffre made an appearance in the group's video.
