The 1959 movie "A Hole In The Head" highlighted Frank Sinatra and Eddie Hodges singing "High Hopes" (James Van Heusen - Sammy Cahn). The song won an Academy Award for Best Original Song. The Frank Capra film also included Edward G. Robinson, Eleanor Parker, Keenan Wynn, Carolyn Jones and Thelma Ritter . Further down the credits is James Komack who later created and produced television's "Welcome Back, Kotter" and"Chico and The Man".

Later that year Frank Sinatra recorded "High Hopes" with "a bunch of kids". Eddie Hodges was signed to another record label and they wouldn't let him record what became the hit. The single is on Franks LP "All The Way" and reached the Billboard top thirty, number six in the U.K. The album was a collection of singles released as A and B sides from 1957 to 1960 and still peaked at number four on Billboard.
