This is posted for several reasons but mainly because of the strange way it became a hit. "If You Gotta Go, Go Now" was written by Bob Dylan and recorded for the album "Bringing It All Back Home" but not released until the "Bootleg Series". This particular track is rather rare and was issued in 1967 as a single in several European countries.

"If You Gotta Go, Go Now" was issued first, although uncharted, by The Liverpool Five (Steve Laine, Dave Burgess, Ken Cox, Ron Henley and Jimmy May) in 1965. Not one of the members was from Liverpool. The group performed at the 1964 Tokyo Olympics.

Fairport Convention (lead vocalist Sandy Denny, Ashley Hutchings, Martin Lamble, Ian Matthews, Simon Nicol and Richard Thompson) partially translated the song into French as "Si Tu Dois Partir" for the LP "Unhalfbricking". The 1969 single peaked at number twenty-one on Billboard. Wikipedia "The title arose from the band playing the word game Ghost while travelling to and from gigs. Its object was to "avoid completing a real word", and "Unhalfbricking" was Sandy Denny's creation". Drummer Martin Lamble was killed in a car accident two months before the album was released.
