Glam metal band Poison (lead vocalist Bret Michaels, Bobby Dall, C.C. DeVille and Rikki Rockett) covered "Your Mama Don't Dance" in 1989 and reached number ten on the Billboard pop chart. This track is from the five times platinum LP "Open Up And Say ... Ahhh!".
