The immensely talented composer, performer Gilbert Becaud (Silly) topped the French chart with the bolero styled "Et Maitenant" (Gilbert Becaud - Pierre Delanoe) in 1961. The song was Gilbert's first taste of success and originally released as a B side.
In 1962 Jane Morgan (Florence Currier) released the LP and the single "What Now My Love" (Becaud - Delanoe - Sigman) as the first English version.
Sonny And Cher (Bono) placed "What Now My Love" in the Billboard number fourteen spot in 1966. This is from the album "The Wondrous World Of Sonny & Cher".
Like Jane Morgan, Herb Alpert and The Tijuana Brass took the title for both an album and single issue. The instrumental of "What Now My Love" (Becaud - Sigman) peaked at twenty-four pop and number two on the Adult Contemporary chart later in 1966.
