Katy is a strong believer in LGBT rights.

Tuft's University A Cappella group The Beelzebubs" and actor, singer Darren Criss combined talents for a late 2010 cover of "Teenage Dream" for the television hit "Glee". That peaked at number eight on Billboard. Darren Criss played Harry Potter in "A Very Potter Musical" and replaced Daniel Radcliffe in the Broadway revival of "How To Succeed In Business Without Really Trying". The single "Teenage Dream" was credited to the cast of "Glee". The show has won several Emmy Awards, the Golden Globe Award, Peabody Award and Screen Actors Guild Award.
