Webb Pierce is credited with discovering "The Young Sherriff". "Hello Walls" (Willie Nelson) by Faron Young topped the 1961 Country chart, reached number twelve pop and number thirteen Easy Listening. Faron was once married to Hilda Macon, the great granddaughter of Uncle Dave Macon, an early star on the Grand Ole Opry.
