R&B and Country are sooo close at times. The late Luther Ingram had the original "(If Loving You Is Wrong) I Don't Want To Be Right" (Homer Banks - Carl Hampton - Raymond Jackson) in 1972. The single topped the R&B chart and hit number three on the Billboard pop chart.
Millie Jackson recorded "(If Loving You Is Wrong) I Don't Want To Be Right" with the Muscle Shoals Rhythm Section in1974 and was nominated for two Grammy Awards for this top forty R&B performance.
In 1979 Barbara Mandrell topped the Country chart and peaked at number thirty-one on the Top One Hundred with this cover of "(If Loving You Is Wrong) I Don't Want To Be Right"
