Floyd Tillman's original "Slipping Around" was recorded in 1949 and peaked at number five of the Country chart. During his career Floyd played with Adolph Hofner, Moon Mullican and Ted Daffan. Floyd's last recording came in 2002 and included the talents of Willie Nelson, George Jones, Hank Thompson, Dolly Parton, Ray Price, Connie Smith, Mel Tillis and Merle Haggard.

Pop star Margaret Whiting and singing cowboy Jimmy Wakely's cover of "Slipping Around" was issued the same year and topped both the Country and pop charts. Margaret was once married to Lou Busch aka Joe "Fingers" Carr and her father was the composer of "On The Good Ship Lollipop" and "Hooray For Hollywood". Jimmy was a noted country singer, starred on radio and television and in Western movies with Roy Rogers, Johnny Mack Brown, Gene Autry and Hopalong Cassidy. Jimmy even had his own DC comic book series.
