Johnny Paycheck (Donald Lytle) was first to record "She Got The Goldmine (I Got The Shaft)" (Tim Dubois) on the 1981 LP "Lovers And Losers". Johnny is buried in the same Nashville cemetery, Woodlawn Memorial Park Cemetery, as George Jones and Roy Orbison's wife Claudette along with two of their children.
Months later Jerry Reed (Hubbard) recorded "She Got The Goldmine (I Got The Shaft)" in 1982 peaking at number fifty-seven pop and topping the Country charts. This track is on the album "The Man With The Golden Thumb".
