Dick Glasser wrote and released "I Will" on Liberty Records in 1964 under the pseudonym Dick Lory. From Liberty, he went to Warner Brothers Records where he produced The Everly Brothers as well as Freddy Cannon. After Warner's he moved to Reprise producing hits by The Vogues. In the seventies Dick was managing MGM Records' country division in Nashville and there he produced C. W. McCall's chart topping "Convoy,".
Vic Dana was discovered as a tap dancer by Sammy Davis Jr. This influenced the family to move to California where he continued dancing and taking singing lessons. When Dolton label-mates the Fleetwood's Gary Troxel went into the Navy, Vic Dana toured as the male vocalist of the group. "I Will" (Dick Glasser) was released in 1962 and got into the top fifty.
In 1965 the most successful recording of the song peaked in the top ten, it came from the Rat Pack singer/actor/comedian/television personality Dean Martin (Dino Crocetti).
