The Wheel of Fortune
Composer George Weiss attended the famous Julliard School of Music and co-composed such hits as "Can't Help Falling in Love", "That Sunday, That Summer", "Lullaby of Birdland" and "What a Wonderful World". He often collaborated with Benny Benjamin and together they composed "Cross Over the Bridge", "Surrender" and "Wheel of Fortune". Johnny Hartman, The Cardinals, The Bell Sisters and Al Costello all recorded "Wheel of Fortune" in 1951. Here we feature the Johnny Hartman version.
Native American Iroquois Kay Starr (Katherine Laverne Starks) took it to the top of the charts for 10 weeks in 1952.
